Focus on determining the near- and long-term needs of employers by providing oversight to the Business and Workforce Center serving Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin counties. The Board also provides quality assurance and recommended policy guidance for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act programs operated by Jefferson County.

Consists of decision-making individuals reflective of the business demographics in the region and leaders from the workforce system, education and economic development.
Number of members may vary so long as the requirements of the Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA) are met.
At least fifty-one percent of membership must be from the private sector.
Identify the region’s workforce development needs.
Create a comprehensive outreach strategy and performance standards.
Develop policy framework to meet the talent needs of employers.
Adopt by-laws governing any aspect of its membership, meetings and actions not set forth herein or governed by federal, state, or other county policy or regulation.
Provide guidance for the career center and WIOA program operations.
